Best Foods to Increase Fertility in Women

There’s a lot of different information out there about which foods you should eat to get pregnant. Your diet is one of the most important factors for improving your fertility. As they say, food is medicine.

In this video I’m going to give you some basic parameters to follow. One thing I tell all of my patients is to eat cooked vegetables rather than salads. Here in the west we think salads are the healthiest food you can eat. But cold and raw vegetables are difficult to digest and drain energy from your digestive system and your reproductive system. Yes, you want to eat a lot of vegetables, but I recommend eating 75% cooked and 25% salads as a guideline.

My next important tip is to eat breakfast everyday. Make sure it’s a warm breakfast and has protein and healthy fats. A couple good examples would be organic eggs with avocado and toast or a warm whole grain cereal with nuts and berries and coconut oil stirred into it.

My third tip is to eat protein with every meal. Make it organic protein. Animal protein is most effective, but if you’re a vegetarian, it’s even that much more important to eat plenty of protein. Beans are a great source of protein and iron. Studies have shown that women with a higher protein diet statistically have a higher chance of getting pregnant.
