Day 4 Video Transcript:

Welcome to Day 4 of the Mindful Fertility Tracking Program! Today you’ll focus on tracking your Lung system. I’ve said this before, but it’s worth mentioning repeatedly – In Chinese medicine, when we refer to any organ system, like the Lung system, we do not literally mean those organs, but rather the Lung energetic system. So don’t worry – if your Lung system is out of balance from a Chinese medicine point of view, or any other organ system, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong with your organs from a western medical standpoint.

So what does the Lung system do according to Chinese medicine? Well, The lung system is your line of defense, in other words, the lung system is your immune system. It protects you from outside invaders or pathogens. The lung also plays an important role in helping to build healthy blood cells by oxygenating them and supplying your body with the vital energy it needs to function. If your lung system is weak and constantly fighting off pathogens that are trying to overcome it, it will drain energy from your reproductive system. Additionally, your body won’t as much fresh oxygenated blood cells to nourish your reproductive organs. If your lung system is really out of balance, you may have an autoimmune disorder that can also affect your fertility.

This is why you need to track the health of your lung system.

Signs that your Lung system may be out of balance include mental and emotional symptoms like grief, depression, frequent crying, detached emotions and sadness. Physical symptoms can include chest oppression, difficulty breathing, catching colds easily, sweating easily without much exertion, fatigue, asthma, allergies, coughing and/or ongoing sinus congestion.

I go into more detail about how the Lung system affects your fertility and how you can track the health of all your organ systems in my e-course, Empowered Fertility Tracking. But this short lesson is a great place to start tracking the health of your Lung system and how it affects your fertility.

To make the most of this lesson, refer to day 4 on the Mindful Fertility Challenge Daily Tracker. Make note of the Lung system imbalances that you experience. Try following the suggestions from the Daily Tracker to nurture your Lung system today and make note of any changes you notice after applying awareness and taking empowered action. Soon enough you will begin to see the benefits of practicing mindful fertility tracking! And the longer and more consistently you continue to mindfully track your fertility, the more your fertility and overall health will improve!
